The CIRS Group Podcast
CIRS, or Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, can happen to 25% of the population and is usually triggered by a biotoxin in the environment, like mold, red tide, lyme (tick bite), and even some medical interventions. Those with CIRS are susceptible to these toxins and cannot clear them on their own. Thankfully, treatment is possible, but given that people suffering with CIRS have difficulty processing new information, we created The CIRS Group and now, this podcast, to help people better understand and identify this treatable illness. Jacie is a 3 year carnivore, certified nutrition coach, and carnivore recipe developer determined to share the life changing information of carnivore and CIRS to anyone who will listen. Barbara is a wealth and wellness coach, 2 year carnivore and a big fan of health and freedom. Along with Jacie, she co-founded The CIRS Group, an online support community to help people that are struggling with their CIRS diagnosis.

CIRS, or Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, is a complicated illness. Thankfully, the folks at ProgeneDX have created an in-depth and new test to take that can actually measure the up and down regulation of your genes as a result of CIRS, and even identifies the biotoxins responsible for the inflammation and symptoms you’re experiencing. This can be a great tool for people to get specific about their type of exposure and better tailor their treatment plan. CIRS, or Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, is something both Barbara and Jacie have been struggling with for over a year. Since their diagnoses in April of 2022, a lot has happened! Barbara will be sharing her triumphs and setbacks as she now explores endotoxin elimination as the missing piece to healing her gut. Jacie talks about resolving her autoimmune flares, re-exposure while traveling, and how she has reached the final step of the protocol, VIP spray. Spoiler alert: she has already experienced complete symptom resolution with the Shoemaker Protocol! We’re excited to share this example of proof that the protocol works. CIRS, or Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, is your body’s immune system going haywire over some biotoxins it’s not able to eliminate. This havoc can really damage your body - and unfortunately, peeing on a stick (or in a cup) is probably not going to help you chill out your immune system and heal all the downstream effects. We want to save you time and money by explaining why the bad advice out there for “mold illness” and “mold detoxing” is bad, and why other advice is good, so we hope you enjoy and learn from today’s episode. CIRS, or Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, often manifests as cognitive difficulties and decline - and those issues can feel a lot like ADD / ADHD. Many people who have CIRS may have symptoms that mimic ADHD, and some may actually have both. We wanted to dig into what those similarities and differences are, tips on symptom management and healing, and get a better idea of what’s going on in the brain with either of these conditions. We do hop around a lot in this episode - Barbara takes full responsibility for her ADHD taking us on a bit of a ride. :) For more information, visit TheCIRSGroup.com
